Facilities

Set on 13 acres, Summerland Christian College makes the most of this beautiful space to create a broad range of opportunities for our students to thrive.

As stewards of God’s beautiful earth, it’s important to us that our facilities make the best use of natural resources and give students places to be inspired as well as relax, decompress and be immersed in nature. Our learning spaces make the most of natural light, airflow, and passive solar design. While outdoors, students can be involved in the College garden, Indigenous inspired nature space and utilise sporting fields for enjoyment and to enhance their God given gifts and sporting talents.

Both of our well-maintained sporting fields are great for those looking to play representative sport. We’re also equipped with two outside basketball courts and an indoor Olympic Basketball court in the Grace Centre.

Catering to students from Trindy right through to the end of their school education on the one campus means that families can send siblings to school together and that children have the chance to make friends across age groups – which is a life skill itself. While we have dedicated areas for each school stage to gather, we also have wonderful, shared spaces to build a sense of community throughout the college.

Our K-12 learning spaces are built to allow creativity and collaboration. Research shows these flexible learning spaces are the future of education. Within our Secondary College the learning spaces are designed to create different environments with digital and wireless connections, movable furniture and whiteboard topped tables. The carefully designed spaces were created with the concept of natural light, airflow and passive solar design, these classrooms feature views out to the Border Ranges and to the coast.

Of course, the best facilities in the world won’t prepare students for a hope filled, bright future, without the dedicated efforts from passionate staff backed by advanced, flexible learning programs. Thankfully we have embraced all of those things at Summerland Christian College.
